Live the “Golden Rule”
“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12; Luke 6:31) The above quoted passage, commonly known at the "Golden Rule," is one of Jesus’ most practical and transformative teachings. It is short, memorable, and immediately applicable to daily life. The Golden Rule is positive, proactive, and outward‑moving. It does not merely tell us what not to do. It urges us to actively step forward in love with generosity, empathy, and mercy. The Golden Rule asks us to imagine the good we desire for ourselves—love, peace, patience, kindness, hospitality, respect, forgiveness, dignity—and then offer that same good to others first.
